PH Department Silicon Facility - DSF -

               The PH DSF is one of the common projects launched in the framework of the LHC project.

                Its main purpose is to provide services and support to any CERN related experiment or project which use
               silicon detectors with emphasis on the four LHC experiments (ALICE, ATLAS, CMS and LHCb).

               The DSF makes available to users areas equipped with basic infrastructures, to support the research
               activities.

           Clean Room Class

              According to the definition of clean room classes (ISO 14644-1) our clean room is better than class 10.000
              or ISO7.

              This is what we measured with a particle counter we borrowed from PH-DT-ST. The data points represent the
              number of particles per cubic meter with a size bigger than the indicated value on the x-axis.
